Quote for the Day

So....the other night Ella was saying her prayers. This is how it went:

She closes her eyes.
"Dear God,
Thank you for Mommy, Daddy, Gran and Pop, Jenny, Nanna and Paw Paw. And thank you for letting me stay up late tomorrow night.
Amen"

She opens her eyes.
"Mommy, can I stay up late tomorrow night?"

All I could do is walk out of the room laughing. On one hand, she IS praying expectantly. One the other hand, if she can think to connive her way into things this well at 4, what are we going to do when she is 14 I ask????

hmmmmm....is this a clue to what you have to look forward to in your future? hmmmm....I see a new sports car showing up in her prayers. I tell you what-I'll start praying for you and Eric now before she turns 12...that's when it's "game on". Trust me...I have a 12 yr. old.

Another reminder....keep Ella & Abigail far away from each other when they are teenagers....We definitely have our work cut out!!

That is priceless! She is a smart little 4 year old!! Maddie and Anna Grace will have their hands full keeping Ella, Abigail, and Catherine in line when they are all teenagers!!! LOL!!

Seriously, though, did she get to stay up late on the 11th??????

That's great! To take a quote from my mother "That girl is a pistol!" She cracks me up!

I can tell that if Ella went to church to pray for rain---she'd take her umbrella. That's some serious faith. Surely you let her stay up late!

She and her sis bring me much joy!
Gran

Surprise! I actually commented, but I had to ask Jenny to help.
