The Lord is my strength and my song:
He has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise Him,
my father's God, and I will exalt Him - Exodus 15:2
I just love this verse!
On the "rocks in my dryer" blog, she had a story about a family that chose to cut back on their gifts so that they could give, and the husband thought of having moms right his wife a letter of encouragement. You'll have to check it out, if you haven't already, it's a cool idea.
But, it just goes to show you that when you really put thought into something, it's probably more meaningful than anything that could be bought.
I'm loving this year. The three gift thing is something that I AM REALLY LOVING. I feel like the gifts are meaningful. They've had a lot of thought put into them. They're not just something that they might like....so far...I think that idea is GOLD!!! I agree that spending less is the way to go. You girls have all inspired me to get off the roller coaster that I didn't think I couldn't get off of.
I sent a link of this to Keith last week and said it would be a wonderful clip to share at church. It really inspired me too. We should share it with everybody. :)
Great video and so very true. This is exactly what we are doing for Christmas. Our little pumpkin isn't getting anything, because she does need anything while there are so many out there who do. Thanks for a great reminder and wake up call.

Libby asked the other day, "if it is Jesus's birthday, why do we get the presents?".
